Police are searching for a 21-year-old Hilo man wanted for a burglary and theft in Hilo last month.

According to a written police statement, Kalei Kaaumoana is wanted for the Oct. 30 burglary of a home on lower Haihai Street in which several items valued at more than $300 were stolen.

Kaaumoana is described as 5-foot-5, 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police say he’s also wanted for questioning in connection with other burglaries in the Waiakea Uka area.
